About us

Daffrid

Lived through the infamous ‘red phase’ of Games Workshop history in the dying days of 2nd edition 40k. Never gave up painting, and is occasionally quoted as saying “I can paint Space Marines rather well, but I just don’t want to.” Was very happy to finish painting his Reaper Miniatures pile of shame.

Currently a ‘forever Dungeon Master’ who is on the RPHaven roleplaying committee. He’s one of those people who looks strangers in the eye at London’s DragonMeet convention and gets them to take a flyer.

Has started a number of board game clubs and social groups in various workplaces, which leads him to have an appreciative eye for “games I can explain in less than 5 minutes, in a noisy pub,” as well as those games which emphasise social interaction between the players. Can no longer buy any board games as has run out of space to put them.

Dysartes

Has been involved in gaming for longer than he’d like to admit, starting with running Advanced Dungeons & Dragons for a small group in high school – despite never having roleplayed before in his life.

Has played a range of tabletop miniature games and collectible card games to varying proficiency, including attending the European Team Championships for Warmachine, running a 40k tournament at Warhammer World, and acting as Head Scorekeeper for the Legend of the Five Rings World Championships.

Continues to enjoy painting, though acknowledges he definitely works to a tabletop standard.

May have a habit of going after the elusive 100% on computer games that continue to receive DLC updates – looking at you, Vampire Survivors.
